MRM RENAL - Online Patient Information Capturing Application
Project Description
Our client from Canada who is a Businessman dealing in the Tele-Medicine sector wants to create module with an objective to fetch, parse & record the dialysis parameters from the dialysis machine, connected to the Tablet PC via RS232 port. The software also captures the user input to create a patient’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) which helps in the dialysis of the patient.
There are 3 versions for the MRM Renal program, which consists of:
- Desktop Administration Version (Admin)
- Desktop Nursing Version (Nursing)
- Bedside Tablet PC Version (Tablet)
Objective
Our client needed an application which can also have an extension to the hand-held device, which can communicate with the central system to record the data being captured at remote locations. This objective was derived from the difficulties being faced by the patients while going for the check-up and tests to the hospital or medication centers despite of their medical conditions. To make their life easier, this application was mainly intended for the nurses/doctors who can visit the patients with the devices and records their medical data with the use of organized structures of this application. Some of the major functions to be covered were:

Solution
This is developed using multi-layer architecture and composite of client server solution & web architecture. It has facility to support using VPN with the help of WCF framework. Facility of multi-touch on the tablet PC enriched the user experience.
