SWAANS - Planning and Inventory

Objective

Main Areas of Development were:

• Calculate product count details
• Automatically check the product status.
• Control the production
• Optimize planning of products and there by avoid loss.
• Manage Vendors & Dealers
• Helps in marinating commodities/ products.
• Needs dynamic images of products which defines layout to be shown for layman who are working on it.
• Makes the whole stages from Production to Delivery.
• Needs Multilanguage facility for the users.

Challenges

The main challenge for the project is to autonomies the complete system which varies from managing production till sales and to make it supported by various languages which should be understandable from layman to office staffs from different nations.

Solution

The project has got divided into different modules:

Production Booking: In which the managers can plan who will need to work on which section on what time.

Planning:  A major section which involves many prioritized tasks.  This includes Planning of Products, Reinforcements, Controlling Planning list.

Planning Optimizing: This is the process for optimize the production so as to minimize the loss during production. This includes extra options like Swap planning, Merge Planning etc.

Offers: Calculation of offers given to regular customers.

Orders:  Manage orders from customers both for an existing product and also for new product as per customer’s requirements.

Delivery:  This section manages the delivery of the products. It used to track all the status of a particular product at a stage. It has also the functionality to manage products comes for replacements. Auto calculation with the stock is an extra feature of the module.

Financial:  A major area which is managing the finance of the company.  Different types of reports are there for the financial purpose, which are dynamically generated based of Production, Orders and Delivery.

Reports:   Different kinds of Crystal Reports production/ planning / financial reports are there which serves as a major source of the firm. These reports are used by all persons from Management to layman who are working over there. There are also dynamic generations of product pictures which help in settling the correct layout of the product.
