Monitae - Socially Inspired Monitoring

Objective

The main objective of the project is to develop a monitoring site for an energy consumption calculator for Buildings. Energy consumption is shown in flash graph.

Challenges

• The project is designed in HTML 5 which has Browser Compatibility issues
• The Meter Reading graph is created using JQuery bar/line flash graph.

Solution

There are 4 users in the site:

1. Website Administrator – This is the super administrator who has access to all data in the website. Need a login. Mostly the login will be set in a separate area. For example, http://www.monitae.com/admin
2. Corporate Administrator – This user will be having access to all data for the particular company / institution. Need a login. The login will be set from http://www.monitae.com/
3. Building Manager – This user is having access to enter data for buildings which are assigned to him by any of the administrators. Need a login. This will be again set from http://www.monitae.com/]
4. Public – This is a user don’t need a login and will be having access to the dashboard only.

This project is developed using HTM5 and customized JQuery for showing flash graphs. For user friendliness, project is developed using JQuery/Ajax technology
